"Paulo  Coelho is a genius" that is what my Fatima said to me when I decribed the book I was reading. She had already read it, in fact recommended it to me. His book is profound if only in its simplicity and deeply resonating truth. In  my readings of Jung and studies of consultants, "The Alchemist" is scientifically and proven as a work of genius, similar to other great stories for example "The Lord of the Rings","The Matrix", "David Copperfield", some greek tales and the like. genius as described by my authorities is the ability to communicate with the subconcious and collective subconcious freely. Without a doubt this book will communicate with any persons subconcious touching on drives and struggles within each of us and more importantly for my ego, drives and struggles within me. I wont spoil it for anyone who will one day find my digitalized words but all I can say is that it is the path to God and godliness that mankind has to take and which precious few individuals find.

 

Alchemists are the ancient practicioners of transmutation, changing of one state to another. As mankind slowly changes from physical to digital, psychological and spiritual we are being subjected to the alchemy of our own destiny. We are being transmuted. Back to a personal level, I am also transmuting. Like precious metal I must feel the pain of heat and the blow of the hammer so that I can be shaped and molded and changed into the treasure that I seek. I am the metal but I am also the crafter and I am the adventurer seeking to find myself, the most sacred of philosophers stones. I have written it before in a more scientific tone, but all things are one, and I am the alchemist of my destiny.

 

I may have forgotten my dreams, wandered astray but I can see the omens again, thanks to my Fatima. I too will touch the face of God and be an Alchemist.
